The world is going to…

confusion

Confusion – “a mental state characterized by a lack of clear and orderly thought and behavior.”

Here’s something to think about.  Can a person go anywhere if he is always torn between two alternatives?  I say of course not.  If we are walking in the park and one leg goes left and the other goes right then neither will get very far and the rest of the body falls.

I feel that is how our country is running right now.  On the one hand we want a Civilian National Security Force (CNSF) but on the other we want to remove guns owned by citizens – legally owned I may add unless/until they change the Constitution.  How can we have a CNSF if Civilians have no guns?

On the one hand we want to get the troops out of the Middle East as quickly as possible.  Remember the fury over that?  And yet, on the other hand President Obama is sending more troops – I heard 4,000 – in addition to the 17,000 he has already ordered there.  How does this help mend America’s ties to the Middle East?  I don’t get it.

Our President is well-documented in his indecisive, or at least unclear, decisions.  He has flip-flopped on many issues.  I want to support our President, but it does concern me how he and his administration seem to have no direction.

Sometimes we get too close to a situation and have to just step back and take a look at the big picture from another perspective.  If you really want to do things properly, find God’s perspective on things.  The Bible is an awesome, living, Word of God that we can use to find what He thinks about things.  People get hung up on the tired and worn-out “God moves in mysterious ways.”  God’s ways are only mysterious to those that don’t know Him.  To the rest of us they make perfect sense if we see it His way.

Next time you hear someone say “The world is going to hell in a handbasket.” – instead of agreeing with them search yourself and figure out what God would say about that.  I bet it’s different!
